A local girl scout troop came to Risinger Veterinary Hospital for a tour on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Dr. Harris and Brittany toured the girls around the clinic and helped them in junior surgery. The girls listened to a dog’s heart beat, saw actual horse bones, radiographs, and a real dog’s heart infected with heartworms. Everyone got to dress in surgery attire and assist Dr. Harris preform heart surgery on their favorite stuffed animal.
